Échangez, alignez trois gemmes, déclenchez des chaînes !
Les alignements de 4 ou 5 déclenchent des chaînes puissantes.
How to Play Gem Crush
Match-3 is the world's favorite casual formula: tap two adjacent gems to swap them — whenever three or more of a color line up in a row or column, they clear and score. Gems above tumble down to fill the gaps, and if the falling gems form new lines they clear too: that's a cascade, and each chain level multiplies the points. Each round lasts 90 seconds — the countdown starts on your first tap and your score is tallied when time runs out; a deadlocked board reshuffles automatically.
High-Score Tips
- Clear from the bottom: matches near the base reshuffle more of the board, handing you free cascades.
- Think two moves ahead: before swapping, picture what the falling gems will create — set up your own chain reactions.
- Four beats three: a single 4-match is worth far more than two separate 3-matches — never pass one up.
The Match-Three Revolution
Gem Crush carries the flag of the match-three genre, which went from modest puzzle roots to the most successful casual formula on Earth after PopCap's Bejeweled appeared in 2001 (originally titled "Diamond Mine"). Swapping two neighbors to line up three of a kind proved so satisfying that the mechanic went on to power everything from browser hits to the candy-colored mobile era.
The depth is in the cascade. A valid swap removes three gems, gravity drops the column, and the fall can create new matches without you touching anything — chains that score on every step. Beginners chase obvious matches; experienced players hunt swaps that sit underneath two potential alignments at once, feeding the waterfall instead of drinking from it. When the board goes quiet, that is your cue: no swap exists, and a fresh layout is one reset away.
FAQ
How do I play?
Tap one gem, then an adjacent gem, to swap them. If the swap lines up three or more of a color horizontally or vertically, those gems clear and score.
Why did my swap bounce back?
Only swaps that create a match are allowed. If nothing would clear, the gems swap back automatically.
How do cascades work?
After a clear, gems fall to fill the gaps. If that forms new matches they clear too — that's a chain. Chain level N multiplies its points by N, so long cascades score huge.
Is there an end to the game?
Each round is a 90-second sprint: the timer starts on your first tap and the round is scored when it hits zero. If the board deadlocks it reshuffles itself, so you can keep clearing until time runs out.
Do I get extra points for matching more than three gems?
Yes — larger matches score more than the minimum set of three, and they are harder to arrange, so they are worth building whenever the board offers one. Four- and five-in-a-row setups are also the natural starting point for cascade chains.
What is the best way to start a cascade in Gem Crush?
Look for a swap that would create a match from gems currently waiting one square above an existing pair. When gravity drops after your first match, those waiting gems fall into place for free — a second and third match that cost you no moves at all.
